Over the past two decades, our country has experienced a growing dynamic of civil society, becoming a key player in the development process. This was highlighted by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, in a message addressed to participants in the study days on associative management on February 14, 2012, when he stated: “We can only rejoice at what Moroccan associations represent today as an immense and diverse national wealth in their fields of intervention, constituting an active force for proposals and an indispensable partner in implementing what our country aspires to achieve in terms of progress and modernization.”
In accordance with constitutional provisions and the organic law concerning regions, the Regional Council has established three advisory bodies, namely:
Commission for equality and opportunities
Commission for youth and childhood
Regional commission for economic issues
In agreement with the members of these bodies, a program has been established to enhance the skills and personal abilities of their members through training programs. They have benefited from 15 training sessions and two outreach activities. The first involved honoring remarkable women from the region, while the second focused on organizing a working visit to exchange experiences and best practices with the advisory bodies created by the Souss-Massa Regional Council. These bodies continue to carry out their legal missions, particularly in the following areas:
- Participation in the development, monitoring, and evaluation of the Regional Development Program.
- Participation in the Innovative Solutions for Advanced Regionalization program.
- Participation in the regional openness program.
