Guelmim-Oued Noun Regional Council will hold its ordinary session for October 2024 on Monday, October 7, 2024, at 10:00 AM. The agenda of this session, which will take place in two sittings, includes the following points:
🔹 Budget: Study and approval of the regional budget proposal for the 2025 financial year.
🔹 Environmental Risk Management: Study and approval of a framework partnership agreement for flood risk protection, as well as a framework partnership agreement for the development of the regional energy efficiency and decarbonization plan for the Guelmim-Oued Noun region.
🔹 Infrastructure: Study and approval of Amendment No. 1 to the agreement related to the financing and implementation of drinking water supply projects; two partnership agreements concerning the construction and equipment of fish markets at the ports of Sidi Ifni and Tan-Tan; and a specific partnership agreement for the construction and equipment of the Institute of Mining in the commune of Assa.
🔹 Education: Study and approval of two partnership agreements with the Hassania School of Public Works and Mohammed VI University of Science and Health, aiming to strengthen capacities, support scientific research and innovation, and assist students from the Guelmim-Oued Noun region in pursuing their studies.
🔹 Handicrafts: Study and approval of two partnership agreements aimed at preserving knowledge and skills related to the handicraft sector and implementing a progressive apprenticeship training program in service-related handicraft trades.
🔹 Economic Development: Study and approval of a partnership agreement to structure the region’s territorial offering to enhance its attractiveness and strengthen investment opportunities.
🔹 Written Questions Session: The second session will be dedicated to responding to written questions submitted to the Council Presidency in accordance with Article 49 of Organic Law 111-14 on regions.
