Mbaraka BOUAIDA
Born in the Lqsabi region of Guelmim-Oued Noun, Ms. Mbaraka Bouaida obtained her scientific baccalaureate at the Chawki high school in Casablanca. She then continued her higher education in Morocco, joining the École supérieure de gestion in Casablanca. Subsequently, she moved to Toulouse, France, to continue her studies at the École supérieure de commerce, before completing her third cycle in England.Ms. Bouaida began her professional career in Spain, where she gained extensive experience in the private sector. She then decided to return to Morocco and get involved in politics by participating in the 2007 legislative elections, actively joining the National Rally of Independents Party.
During her political career, Ms. Bouaida held several important positions, including that of Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, where she worked on crucial issues such as relations with the European Union and the national question. She was also Secretary of State for Maritime Fisheries.
In 2021, she was elected President of the Guelmim-Oued Noun Regional Council, becoming the first Moroccan woman to hold this position. She is committed to promoting sustainable development in the region by strengthening cooperation with local and international partners, attracting investment, and promoting transparency and communication with citizens through various platforms.
